Certification award nominations sought April 30, 2006 Regular News Certification award nominations sought The Harry Lee Anstead Award for The Florida Bar Board Certified Lawyer of the Year is presented annually by the Board of Legal Specialization & Education to a Florida board-certified lawyer or judge. The award recognizes exemplary professionalism, excellence, character, and commitment to The Florida Bar’s certification program and to the practice of law.This year’s award will be presented at the BLSE’s annual meeting reception sponsored by Florida Lawyers Mutual Insurance Co. The nomination form is available at floridabar.org/certification; all nominations must be received by 5 p.m., May 4. Current BLSE members are not eligible for nomination.The BLSE established the Anstead Award in 2005 as part of its strategic communication campaign to raise awareness about legal board certification. Board certified appellate practice lawyer Raymond T. Elligett, Jr., of Tampa was the award’s first recipient.
