Two people are dead after separate crashes in Hamilton and Niagara last night.A motorcyclist was killed as a result of a violent crash with a car on Queenston Road at the Red Hill Valley Parkway around 8:30 pm.The 39-year-old man on a Harley, whose name has not been released, was taken to Hamilton General Hospital where he died of his injuries, while the driver of a Ford Mustang was not hurt.This was the 13th traffic fatality of the year in Hamilton.Earlier, a 76-year-old Welland woman was killed trying to cross a street during the dinner hour.She was struck by a Ford pickup truck on Southworth Street at Dieppe in Welland.The truck was driven by a 51-year-old man, also from Welland, who was not hurt.Police are still investigating both crashes and are asking anyone who might have seen them to contact them.Meanwhile, a 29-year-old man remains in critical condition after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pick-up truck in Stoney Creek yesterday morning.Police still don’t know what caused that crash on Regional Road 20 at Woodburn, and no charges have been laid.
